A New Interest
Friday, December 4, 2009
I’m not really sure where this interest came from, as it’s definitely a recent development. Casey has a 1962 Chevy and he’s into old trucks. I’m sure this is where the interest started for me, but I tend to be more attracted to the really old trucks that are abandoned in a field somewhere. I love to add textures to these photographs and see how creative they can get. I am drawn to them artistically, and always have fun creating and processing these kinds of images. I took these photos when we were up in Vermont last week. These are actually two trucks that belong to Casey’s dad and have found a permanent home on the back part of their field.
I hope you get as much of a kick out of these images as I do.
All of these photos have been added to my Zenfolio site here.

I know. Abandoned buildings too!
I love old trucks abandoned in fields too! They make for awesome backdrops in photos!!!
These pics are cool - they just don’t make chrome like they used too! It’s amazing how shiny the door handles and emblem’s are after all those years sitting in the weather! Love ya, Brent.
Thank you very much Millie! I’m glad you’re enjoying the photographs I’ve been able to capture. I’ll keep looking for some old and abandoned cars & trucks
Meghan,
Your talents are, and will always be, a source of pride for your Dad and for me. It is such a pleasure to see you enjoy your photography as much as you do, and even better, to have you share it with us.
I have always had a fascination with antique cars. I remember an old lady whom I used to work with, ages and ages ago (when I was in my twenties), she couldn’t understand “why someone so young could be interested in all those old cars”…I, in turn, could never understand why someone her age wouldn’t be.
We love you, honey.
Thanks Jess. You’re so sweet. I really appreciate your kind words and everlasting support. You’re the best!
Megs - this is an awesome series! Just like the railroad tracks, this would be a great new signature subject in your portfolio. While I am never surprised at how amazingly talented you are, your photos still take my breath away… Love and support always!
These are really neat photos. I love old trucks too. Can you imagine the history behind these guys! I think the photos help with that…
