A Light Coat of Snow
Thursday, January 7, 2010
We got some snow today here in Huntsville. Not as much as they were anticipating, but enough to close some roads out there due to patches of ice. I was hoping for the 2″ they were predicting. That would have been gorgeous!
I took a quick step outside today to see what I could drum up with my camera…I was so wishing I had a macro lens today for the up close delicate snow flakes. Someday…
I had fun playing with textures on this series - I hope you enjoy ‘em!
And this is more of what days like this look like on the inside of the house…
Delicious gingerbread chai tea for me (a gift from my best friend for Christmas - thanks Jess!) and a cozy fleece blanket for Diesel. Anything we can do to keep warm…

Thanks Maureen. I think Diesel always has the right idea (sleep, eat, play)
Meghan, you take such wonderful pictures! The textures in the snow series is just gorgeous. After seeing all the flakes and crystals, I like seeing the soft textures of Diesel under his blanket. He has the right idea for this weather!
Crystal - I have a feeling Nala (and you & Jon) are gonna be in for a shock weather wise. Diesel dashes in/out when it’s this cold…but he gets all frisky with the colder temps too!
Thanks Theresa. I thought the cone was pretty neat too…and the fence is my current background on my computer. The sunflower sadly should have been removed a while ago…but hey, it provided photographic purpose staying up this long, right? hehe
Jess, WM care packages are welcome at our house ANYTIME. hehehe. Thank you for your ever lasting sweet words and encouragement.
Great pics! Diesel looks so comfy. Nala won’t even go outside in Gainesville b/c it’s been so cold in the morning. She’s going to hate Cleveland! lol.
These are just beautiful! Love the Cone, Fence, and Sunflower the best! ; }
Gorgeous! But then, your photos are never anything less… The Chai is definitely World Market. I will have to grab things that make me think of you whenever I stop in and send you both little WM care packages… xoxo
Thanks Jason! The bokeh was from my nifty fifty! =)
Excellent series Meghan!! Creative shots and processing. Love the bokeh in the Chai shot!
Thanks Amanda! This chai tea is amazing…not sure where she got it. Might be World Market though, and we don’t have one of those here
Beautiful pictures - as always! You have such a creative eye! Also, I’m gonna have to investigate into this gingerbread chai business. I love, love, love chai!
